Breakfast on a busy day

It is almost impossible to find time to have breakfast, when you have an 8 a.m class in the morning or even earlier than that. I have experienced that hectic life, where I spend the whole day without taking my breakfast. The truth is that breakfast is a really important part of our day. So, it counts that you take your breakfast each day.

I have found the easiest and quickest meal to take in the morning, which is oatmeal. This meal will take you no more than 5 minutes “exaggeration” to prepare. So, I eat oatmeal nearly everyday In the morning. Bellow, I will give instructions on how I prepare my oatmeal:

  • Using the stove: Boil a cup of water in a small saucepan.
  • Stir in 1/2 cup oats and reduce heat to medium; cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat, cover and let stand for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • You can also use the microwave by combining 1 cup water in a 2-cup microwavable bowl. Microwave on High for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes. Stir before serving.
  • I always add milk at the end.
  • After, add some raisins to make it a little bit sweet and “edible for me“.

  2. Oatmeal contains unique antioxidants which are really good for us.
  3. Oatmeal may fight inflammation.
  4. A bowl for breakfast can keep you full till lunch.
  5. Oatmeal is good for your heart.
  6. Oats may reduce your risk of cancer.
